We must first have the desire or motivation to make that change. Hypnotherapy really works to break habits by increasing your self-awareness of how the habit or behaviour originated and how you think, feel and behave.  By removing any dysfunctional thinking around the habit, putting control back into your mindset, repetition and action create new positive habits and new ways of thinking and feeling.

So in order for any habit to break a change in mindset and attitude is needed. This drives us to make the decision to do things differently: to break the habit or change it. Of course, we must effect that change by doing things in a different way!

Cognitive-behavioural Therapy

Controlling your thoughts

CBT or Cognitive-behavioural therapy is a therapy that I use alongside hypnotherapy and counselling but is a stand alone therapy. It teaches you to think in a healthy way. It focuses on thought (cognitive) and action (behavioral). 

By controlling the thought, you can control the emotions. Helping you to understand the connection between your thinking and your feelings.  This therapy works great for people who don't want to go into the past to fix issues and by bringing up unpleasant memories but want to control anxieties by catching that thought and changing the self-talk.
